We just added two new resources!!

The resources:

The first resource, “Responding to Human Trafficking among Children and Youth in Foster Care and Missing from Foster Care,” was posted by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and is a recently released resource for state agencies and community providers to help strengthen the child welfare response to human trafficking.

The second resource is from FosterClub’s National Foster Care Youth and Alumni Policy Council. This resource, titled “National Policy Council Amplifies Guidance for Child Welfare Agencies in Preventing Human Trafficking in Foster Care,” provides insight from Council members and other former foster youth around the country on the prevention of human trafficking in foster care. Additionally, it also provides important resources for child welfare agencies to prevent human trafficking in foster care.

Why these resources matter:

Youth in foster care are at a higher risk of experiencing human trafficking. This is due to the unstable living situations, lack of supportive services, prior abuse and neglect, emotional vulnerability, and isolation from friends and family youth in foster care can experience.
