This is a Case Study highlighting how Children’s Village has successfully transformed from an entity focused exclusively on residential care to an organization directed toward community- and home-based services, with residential care used only as a short-term, targeted intervention. The agency has gone as far as to advocate for the federal government to require state child welfare systems to move away from residential care in favor of children living safely at home with their families.
